profoundly simple, infinitely potent
a brief encounter soon forgotten?
a not so brief chat vaguely remembered?
an acquaintance for future reference?
a friend with occasional contact?
a friendship, fleeting or enduring?
a relationship, stormy, stable, perpetual?

what follows?
suspicion or reception?
rejection or acceptance?
distrust or trust?
apprehension or pleasantry?

an adventure! a pleasure!

a door opens
