About

Vic Pandal, Author, WriterVic Pandal

Vic Pandal is the nom de plume of Vincent Persaud who was brought into the world by mid-wife Nurse Abiolah in 1963 in a small, unpainted hut in Grove Housing Scheme on the East Bank of the Demerara River in exotic Guyana, South America. Growing up in an environment free of too many constraints and with little supervision fostered a spirit for adventure, excitement, and a vivid imagination.

After finishing high school in 1979, I assisted in the management of a hotel and bar for about three years, worked in a mortgage bank for about two years, then enlisted for military service in September of 1984, one of the most formative experiences of my life. To this day I credit the one year of Standard Officers’ Course 16 for empowering me to go any where and achieve success in any venture.

I exited military service in the Guyana Defence Force and migrated to Canada in September of 1988, subsequently moving to New York in 1993 where I managed to complete both undergrad and graduate degrees by 2002 while working full time and attending to my young but growing family.

I recently developed the temerity to share my experiences, thoughts, and ideas via literature and hope you find them interesting. Thank you for your support.

With gratitude,

Vic Pandal.
